Hi,

Be sure your IMPORT SPEC also is set to read Pipe. (it defaults to comma)
I am getting this error on selecting the file...I think it because of file size (>2GB)
ONLY if the access file > 2Gig, but it would take LOTS of records.
Even if the txt file is 2Gig, access size can be less. Make sure you start with a compressed access db.
It i a newly created compressed access......also I am able link other text files in the same db
still waiting fot reply
Since size should not be the issue as Ranman indicated, suggest you upload to the forum a sanitized copy of your db and a copy of your text file with a limited number of records for analysis. You will have to zip the db file and be sure to run a compact and repair before uploading.
