exporting from one access dtabase to another

Hi guys

I was wondering if it possible to export data from one database to another . If I fill out an input form in one database I have assigned a button which populates a table in the same database. Is it possible to assign the button to populate a table in more than one data base?

I have made a simple database which allows people at work to fill in text box with a part number and it retrieves all information about that part from a table. This all works fine but what I would like to do is record the number the person is inputting(searching for ) with a date and time in a separate table so I can look at that data .Would it be better using a macro or code? I am still new to this so any help is much appreciated
