How to make scatter plot intercept with origin?

Hello, I'm new here so I apologize in advance if I'm being obtuse.

I have got a collection of data I need to represent using scatter plots, it is psi on the y axis and m/s on the x axis.
I didn't bother to include the data point 0,0 because it is obvious in the context and puts unnecessary data in the tables.

Is there any simple way for me to make the scatter plot start at the origin (currently starts at the first data point) without adding a 0 row in all my tables?

No. How would Excel know where the additional point should go?

As easy as it is to have a 0,0 point, I would probably include that point in the tables. Memory is cheap, if you don't want the 0,0 point included in the "display" tables, have a copy of the table in an out of the way place or hidden place in the spreadsheet that includes the 0,0 point.

If your data are "smooth" enough, you could add a trendline to the chart and tell it to extrapolate the trendline to 0,0.

It would only be serendipity if the trendline went through the origin, MrS.

There is an option for forcing the trendline through the origin. As long as the data were smooth enough that the line looked "natural", I think it would work ok. The main problem I would see is if the data were noisy or in some other way made it so that the extrapolation to 0,0 look obviously like a trendline rather than a natural extension of the data.

I will make a copy of the tables with the 0 row added to them. The trendline idea works as it goes through 0, however the roughness of my data means it doesn't fit perfectly even with a 6th order poly. I would prefer the graph is a visual representation of my data rather than a trendline even though it may look nicer.
    Thanks for answering
