Pivot Table Filters

Good Morning,

Apologies if this has been answered, I can't seem to find an answer anywhere for what seems to be a very basic query.

If I filter a field on a pivot table and then I want to filter a second field, the dropdown list on the filter for the second field still shows all the available values from the data source rather than restricting the list to the values which are relevant to the first filter.

Let's say I have a table which looks like:
Field1,Field2
A,1
B,2
C,3

If I set the filter on field1 to "A" and then want to filter field2, the dropdown list on the field2 filter would show me all possible value of 1,2,3 instead of just 1 which is the only value available.

Surely this a most basic requirement of how a filter should work? Is there something I'm missing?
