Pivot Table Date Adding 4 Years and 1 day to Source Data Date

I have a simple pivot table pulling from another Excel file. If the date in the source data is June 5, 2014 it is reflected in the pivot table as June 6, 2018. I have tried changing the "Use 1904 date system" under Options-Advanced-When calculating this workbook: and i does not fix. Anyone have any idea on how to resolve this issue?

Have you chacked that the source data is actually a date field and not text - this MAY be the issue as a Pivot Table simply presents the data as is.

Tony, Thank you for the suggestion. I did check the date format in the source file and it is Date and type = *3/14/2001. Duane

Can you post a sample of your raw data and the Pivot Table you have created and I will take a look.

The data that I'm working with has patient health information (PHI) and is protected under HIPAA so I cannot post those files for legal reasons. I tried to set up a sample data source excluding the PHI and created a pivot table pulling from it and it is not replicating the issue that I'm having with the full data set. I cannot give you good examples unless I give you the actual files that I'm working with. I had to re-build the entire pivot table file last month to get rid of the problem. Guess I will do that again. Thank you very much for your assistance.

Can you remove all the data except the date fields and send me that. I can then see what is going on.
