    Make a Dynamic Chart

Hi, I am having a lot of trouble. I am trying to make a dynamic table using a drop down box. I want to be able to select one vendor and have the chart populate with the apporoprate data as i have it set up currently with 2013 2014 Jan and so on. I will have to add additional data so it needs to be versitle. Please help.

On the MyDashboard tab you can see my drop down list i've already created along with the chart. It currently has all vendors but i want to be able to select ONE vendor and have the data populate. Hopefully this makes sense. I really want to understand how to do this as i need to make another one for Companies. I really appreciate your help.

    Thanks,
    Kali

    Re: Make a Dynamic Chart

    If I've interpreted correctly:

    For example:
    Add Sheet1.
In Name Manager put this Dynamic Named Range formula.
    Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

Select Q1. Click on Data Validation / Data Validation. In the drop-down list choose List. In the Source select from the Data sheet $C$5:$BQ$5. Click OK. In S5 of Sheet1 enter =dynaChrt and fill down to S39.

Select a chart type. Select S5:S39 for you data source. In your chart choose Chart title. With the Chart title box selected click in the formula bar and type = and then click on Q1. Press F4 key to make the cell reference absolute. Commit with Enter.

Now select from your drop-down in Q1 that you just created. S5:S39 will update and so will your chart.

Is this what you where after?
