Hey all, first time poster here. Im sure there's a simple answer to this but I couldnt find it after some research, so here goes:
I'm using a sheet to catalog work items, like
task/due date/effort/person doing work
I'm going to create a pivot table on another sheet to do the categorization of work by person or date due.
On a summary sheet, I want to be able to create another table where I can enter a date into a defined date cell (like maybe a pulldown) and populate the column with the work details, then calculate stuff locally on that summary sheet.
The summary sheet row(s) that reference the pivot table data is what I am not sure how to automate reference to pivot table data, sort of an "if date=(date list), then populate cells a2-a9 with sheet3,a2-a9)" function. I think VLOOKUP can do this, but before I start messing around I thought I could ask.
Anyone have an answer?
