Changing Chart to a Combo ... Line and Bar

Charting 1.xlsm

on the attached file, worksheet Hard-Core Averages ... I have complete data on the left and then a simpler version of the data to the right that changes based upon the information given up top (I figured that part out, pretty proud of myself

... I also created a chart ... but it doesn't represent the data well ... what I want is a combo chart with the Goal data being represented by a Line connecting the data points across and a bar chart for the Result data points so the result would be 5 bars and 1 line connecting the 5 data points ...

the combo says it needs 2 separate items in the Series ... If I switch row/columns then that doesn't give me what I am looking for either ...

I guess I am looking for a different way to structure the data or a way to chart the data that I have in a different way ...

can anyone help me???

Hello,

I suggest you re-arrange the values for Result and Goal into two separate blocks, so that all results are together and all values for goal are together. Then select the Result and create a column chart. Add a series to the chart and select the Goal values. That will be another set of columns with a different colour. Now you can change the chart type of that series to be a line.
