Clustered bar chart with one group showing as a symbol

    Hi,

I'm trying to create a combination chart in some ways.

I have data that looks like the following:

I'm trying to create a clustered bar chart where the bars run horizontally and the historical average shows as a symbol on the chart instead of another bar.

I've tried selecting the series and adding as scatter plot but then the points aren't aligned correctly. I have Excel 2013. The attached excel file shows what I want the graph to look like where I've modified the error bar to show the symbol, but I'd like to customize the symbol if possible.

If you change the chart type, for that series, to xy-scatter you can position markers as required.

You need to add secondary vertical axis and fix min/max values. You can then format the axis so it does not appear.
