I would like to select about 1000 users in a pivot table with over 100,000. I am using Excel 2013 on a MAC. Any advice on the easiest way to do this greatly appreciated.

You could use quick and easy logic in a helper column in the raw data, then just filter on that helper column.

How are you selecting the names?
