Gantt charts - help to tidy it up

I have had my first attempt at a mocking up a Gantt chart, (I followed some instructions from youtube)
    I have uploaded a sample.
If someone wouldn't mind taking a look I would appreciate it.
It is quite a wide chart and a gap appears between cells 'W' & 'X'. Is there a way of closing that gap to make it look better?
Also if there is a better more visually appealing way of doing a Gantt chart, could you point me in the right direction?
Also if anyone has any advice on how to make my sample better, I'm all ears

    Thanks
    Neil

The gap is there because you have it set to "Page View" Switch to Normal setting (View Tab). Alternately set it to fit on 1 page.

Other than that, I have no issue with the appearance. From a practical standpoint, it's all manually entered. I would have another worksheet (same workbook) where project members enter Date (col A), Critical Task (Col B) and hours worked (Col C). Then have the formulas in the Gantt chart sum these up for you and put them in the right weeks. For example, in B5

    =SUMIFS(sheet2!$C$2:$C$5000, sheet2!$A$2:$A$5000, ">="&B$1, sheet2!$A$2:$A$5000, "<"&C$1, $C$2:$C$5000, $A5)

Thanks, sorry about the basic error with the page setting.
I like the idea of automating a few things, but my first attempt at following your instructions hasn't quite worked out.
I did the 3 columns on sheet two and put your formula in B5 (sheet 1) but it then returns a zero.
Not really sure what I'm meant to put it the 'critical task' column. No doubt I haven't followed your instructions correctly. Unfortunately I've been summoned by her who must be obeyed and have to pack it in for now.
I appreciate your advice and will have another go tomorrow.
    Thanks again
    Neil

Here's an example. I entered the formula in B5:E9. You probably want to set formatting to not show 0's.
I named a dynamic list on the Lists tab and used data validation to have dropdown menus with that list in column B of daily work
