stock portfolio - column sorting for ticker/sector by dated weight/market value

I am running a stock portfolio and am looking for the best way to sort my data.

I am using the following headers as data columns:
    Ticker
    Name
    Sector

Now my problem lies when I try to find a way to include weight and market value by date.

Currently my spreadsheet is in the following format

    -----A-----B-----C-------D-------E-------F-------G-------H------I
    1]Tick--Name-Sec--day1w-day1v-day2w-day2v-day3w-day3v
    2]AAA---ccc---tech-----2.4----100-----2.4-----230----3.2-----251
    3]BBB---ccc---disc------1.1----431-----6.4-----220----4.6----652
    4]CCC---ccc---tele------XX-----XX-----3.4-----241----3.8----256

Aside from the dated weight/value columns, i understand the simplicity of using a chart/pivot table to sort through the data.

Also note that because this reflects the portfolio over time, some of the stocks may not have value/weight data until say day3 for example.

The overall goal is to do something along the lines of this --

I'd like to be able to select the sector, then from there be able to select a date and the only stocks that should be visible will be the ones that are in that sector and have data for the selected date.

I realize I may be explaining this poorly, so if someone wouldn't mind taking a look at my spreadsheet I've attached that would be awesome. Please feel free to share any and all suggestions as well if you have any ideas on how to improve this!

    Thanks in advance!
