    XYChartLabeler add-in & Excel 2016 for Windows

I've been using the Rob Bovey XYChartLabeler add-in for a while now to manipulate labels on bubble and other charts.

But in their wisdom, our IT department has upgraded all the computers to Office 2016 (on Windows 7), and it has stopped working.

Has anyone got the XYChartLabeler working in Excel 2016 (for Windows)?

If it's working for others, then that might pin it down to the particular installation that's been imposed on me.

But, given that XYChartLabeler explicitly does not support Excel 2016 for Mac, I wonder if Microsoft has brought the Windows version in line with the Mac version now, and removed some functionality that the add-in needs. I'm only a beginner at VBA, but looking at the code where it crashes, the problem seems to relate to the refedit control no longer being available (in this installation at least).

Are there alternatives to XYChartLabeler that might be worth me looking at?

    Thanks for any thoughts

    Andrew

My impression was that this kind of feature became native to Excel in 2013. https://support.office.com/en-us/art...9-E8109FDC1613 see the section "change what is displayed..." and note the "value from cells" option. I am assuming that this feature carried over into 2016.

    So it is.

    I'd never noticed.

    Thank you hugely, Mr Shorty.
