    pairwise scatter plot

How to plot pairwise scatterplot data series at once in excel? For example, I have two pairs of data series, (x1{}, y1{}) and (x2{}, y2{}) which I want to plot at one shot. I know I can plot the first series and add the second series on it. But that takes a bit of steps and time. Is there any quicker way to do? The output should have two scatter plot lines.
    x1 y1 x2 y2
    1 2.1 2 2.4
    2 4.3 18 3.6
    3 3.5 10 2.7
    6 2.4 2 5.8
    10 4.5 1 7.8
    .. .. .. ..

I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to do or what difficulty you are having.

    Having data in columns

it should be easy to chart these as a single series by selecting the entire data range and inserting the chart. If you select the desired range and create the chart, then later add points to the data range, the chart should pick them right up.

Or are you talking about adding a bunch of points as different data series? The easiest way to add multiple series would use a sparsely populated range:

Of course, it might be as much work to arrange the data in this way so that you can add all the data series in one shot as it is to leave the data alone and add individual data series through the source data dialog.

A lot depends on exactly what you are trying to do.

    Re: pairwise scatter plot

The way I would create a scatter plot from data arranged like that:

    1) Select the first data series (first two columns)
    2) Insert scatter chart (hopefully Excel will parse the X and Y values correctly).
3a) Bring up the select data dialog, Add new series, and work through the dialog until the second series is added
3b) Select the second data series (second two columns). copy to clipboard, select chart, paste special -> as new series with x values in first column.

I'm not aware of any faster ways to add a second data series.
