    Smile Scatter chart trendline and regression equation difference

    Kindly go through this bewildering difference between regression output and chart output, i have tried increasing decimals, changing notation to scientific.

    Welcome to the board.

    In the chart, you are regressing x on y. In the table, it is the reverse.

    Excel charts assume x values are in the first column.
