cannot expand a pivot chart horizontally

Is that chart in a worksheet, or is it its own chart sheet?

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

Remember to desensitize the data. (Remove private or sensitive data that shouldn't be published)

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
Click on Browse under Upload Files from your Computer and then find the file on your computer using the dialogue that opens. Click on Open then click on Upload. Click on Close this Window. Click on Submit.

If you inserted the chart as a new sheet, it is a chart sheet, not a worksheet, and that is why you can't resize it. If you were to embed it into a worksheet, you could resize it.

You can create the chart on a worksheet then select the chart, Ctrl + X to copy and delete. Go to another worksheet and place the cursor where you want the chart and Ctrl +V to paste the chart. You can now move and resize the chart on the worksheet.

You cannot embed it in a pivot table but you can put it on the same sheet. Simply right click and move the chart.
