Summarizing Two Data Points with different date values in Pivot

My guess is this needs to be done manually with two separate pivot tables then manual merge the results but I'll give this a shot.

I have two primary data points I am tracking... Approvals, and fundings. Each approval occurs on a specific date, and then some time in the future (maybe a day, maybe 2 months) it gets funded. I have a table that tracks approval time and funding time, as well as other data points such as source, dollar amount etc. If I create a pivot table I can group the data by approval month, or funding month but I cannot mix the two.

Ideally I would want the number of applications and dollar amount of approvals in April to be grouped with April, but fundings should be grouped by funding date. So if an application was approved in April and funded in April, both would be listed in the April totals. But if an app was approved in April and Funded in June, The values relating to approvals would be in April but the values relating to funding would be in June.

Is this possible to do in one pivot table? Or must I do two pivot tables and then make a table where I manually pull the data together with a vlookup?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Quite often the answer to a pivot table issue requires working with the source data. In this case, attaching a sample workbook with a "this is what I got" and a mocked-up "this is what I want to get" will help a lot.
One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.
