Combo Bar and Line Graph with Four Data Series

    Hi All,

Very little experience with graphs so hopefully this should be an easy one...

With reference to the attached example, I have four data series that I want to present on a Combo chart. The first two series detail the number of units sold to two different customers. I want this data to be presented as a stacked bar on the graph. To give an example, if I have one customer who I've sold 10 units to, and a second customer that I've sold 100 units to, I want the bar to protrude from the x axis to the value of 110 (total units) on the y axis however, the bar shall be split into two sections; the first section will represent the lower of the number of units sold to each customers (in this case we sold ten units to customer A and 100 units to customer B so the first section of the chart shall protrude from the x axis up to the value of 10 on the y axis; the second section of the bar will begin at the value of 10 on the y axis and continue to the value of 110 on the y axis). Each section needs to be a different colour, ideally yellow and blue respectively.

The latter two data series detail revenue derived from the largest client, and total revenue in the same periods. I want revenue to show as a line.

Kindly provide instructions on how to do this because, as you've probably surmised, the attached isn't my real life example and I will need to replicate the process for my actual data.

Re: Combo Bar and Line Graph with Four Data Series

Is this what you are looking for?

What I did was create the whole thing as a clustered bar chart. Then I clicked on one of the sales series and selected change series char type. I used the dropdown list to select lines with markers for both of the revenue series. Then after OKing the box, I selected first one and then the other revenue series and formatted them to a secondary axis. Finally, the local market sales were on top and all sales on the bottom, so I right clicked on the chart and selected Select Data and moved on of the series up to reverse the order.

One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.
