Conditional Formatting For change in scores

Hi I have built a graph that so far runs great. I am trying to figure out how to make the color invert if negative. For some reason when I go to formatting the data the check box does not appear maybe I am just being dumb but thought smarter people might know how to get to it or a cool work around.

Thank you for all of your help

Hi, and welcome to the forum

What do you mean by 'invert the colour if negative' and what's the reference to a checkbox?

Are you saying that the portion of any line that's less than zero should be a different colour to the line above the zero?

If so perhaps the easiest way would be to split the C&D series and E&F series into two new series with the same >0 value but a minimum lower value of 0, and a series with a maximum higher value of zero and the <0 value. i.e. the lines will still appear continuous but they will actually be made up of two lines where they cross the zero line.

Incidentally why are C&D the same?

Oh the values below 0 really don't matter so much as the difference between years. So I manually changed the lines to show green if the growth was positive and red if it was a negative change. I'm just hoping for a solution so the end user won't forget to color code. I kept C and D the same so they hold the numbers in the same spot. Maybe not the best way to build it but all I could think of this morning.

    Thanks for the response

Are you trying to changethe color on the chart (the arrows), or on the data itself?
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

The 'Invert if negative' option does not apply to XY scatter charts. I think you would require either code to recolour the series, or plot two separate series for each item- one for negative and the other for positive and only add values to the appropriate one.
