I created a stacked chart linked to a pivot table. I want to copy the chart (to keep consistent formats) and link it to a different pivot table. However, when I copy the chart and go to Select Data. I can not change the link to the new pivot table. The link is grayed out.

Given how easy it is to make pivot table charts, what is the objection to creating them manually from scratch? Or is there a bigger picture not expressed? What is the overall objective?
One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.
A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.
Efficiency, I want to keep the same format across charts, and having to create from scratch and format each time is not too efficient.

You can also create a new chart on the other pivot table and then use Copy+Paste to copy the formats from original chart to new one.
