Show Different Data Labels on Graph

Hi,

I am trying to show growth in years on the attached graph but without manually typing in the values (Data Labels).

The graph shows numbers from 2012-2017 on a simple line graph. I have added another series but using growth % between the years, the line comes out on the bottom axix and I uusally change the color so it blends in. I can then use the data labels for the % Growth without manually adding. This however brings a lof of issues, especailly when growth is negative but the values are positive.

I dont want to use the Secondary axis as Im just interested in using the labels.....is there a better way to do this????
