Total in Pivot Table and Chart

Hello,

please see attached file.
I've created a pivot Table and a Pivot chart from my Database.
I'd like to know if the Chart can show three Columns (for each date) representing the total of items in each period.
I'd like also to make the Chart show the subtotal (in the three data columns) of the Group selected in the slicer.

Hi Brian,

See if you can get what you want from your data being "UnPivoted" using Power Query and then doing a Pivot table and chart with a rearrangement of the data.

I already thought about a kind of data transposition. The unpivot function is very useful, thank you.
The only problem is that I still have more bars for each date while I want to show a single "total" bar for each period.
While filtering with the slicer on Group data I want to see the subtotal of (i.e.) Group 1 in different periods.
Adding another slicer "level" I want to see the subtotal of the specific item (contained in that Group) represented for each period.
