    How to prevent pivot table breaking down dates (Month, Quarter, Year, etc)

    Howdy!

    I'm trying to collect some data in regards to number of seats booked on particular days, from a table that has many bookings. However, when I try to create a pivot table, the date gets broken down and I'm unable to collect the data that I need.

    This is an example of the table area in charting;
    \1

    Here is how the pivot table displays it the results;
    \1

    Is there any way for the pivot table to show the sum per date exactly as it is shown in the raw data?

    There is also a "Year" and a "Quarter" option for the PivotTable, but it just adds to what I don't need.

    Thanks for any help!

    hi loccy. you seemed to have grouped them together. right-click the month column in the PivotTable and select Ungroup. That will get you the individual dates. Alternatively, you can group by day, month and year. and select Day in the ROWS area. that will show you individual dates and month but not the year.

    if it does not work, do upload a sample excel file.
