Re: Help to create a chart

    welcome to the forum, stefan.

    1. you need to do a summary of the data first. so select A4:G147 in the data worksheet.
    2. go to INSERT tab -> PivotTable. Click OK.
    3. On the right side, you will see PivotTable Fields. that controls how the report looks like. left-click and drag the File Date field to the ROWS area below.
    4. click and drag ShiftNum field below File Date field in the ROWS area.
    5. click and drag Unplanned field in the VALUES area
    6. click and drag Planned field in the VALUES area
    7. click on cell B3 where the "Sum of DownTimeMinutesUnplanned" is residing. Name it Unplanned Downtime.
    8. click on cell C3 where the "Sum of DownTimeMinutesplanned" is residing. Name it Planned Downtime.
    9. go to INSERT -> PivotChart -> Column -> Stacked Column (2nd choice). Click OK.
    10. go to ANALYZE tab -> Field Buttons (click top portion). that hides the Field Buttons.
    11. it will look very cluttered as you have many dates and ShiftNum. Adjust it to be bigger
    12. if you want ShiftNum to be in order of "D", "A", "N", adjust it in the PivotTable.
    13. click on each color series and change it to the colors desired.

some are a bit difficult to explain over words.
ps: i did a quick audio-less video since some adjustments are difficult to explain here.

    Rule 08: Cross-posting Without Links

Your post does not comply with Rule 8 of our Forum RULES. Do not cross-post your question on multiple forums without including links here to the other threads on other forums.

Cross-posting is when you post the same question in other forums on the web. The last thing you want to do is waste people's time working on an issue you have already resolved elsewhere. We prefer that you not cross-post at all, but if you do (and it's unlikely to go unnoticed), you MUST provide a link (copy the url from the address bar in your browser) to the cross-post.

Expect cross-posted questions without a link to be closed and a message will be posted by the moderator explaining why. We are here to help so help us to help you!

Read this to understand why we ask you to do this, and then please edit your first post to include links to any and all cross-posts in any other forums (not just this site).

You have not had the courtesy to inform the other forum where you have posted that your issue is solved.
