    PowerPivot Relationship Problem

    Hi !

I am trying to use PowerPivot to replace my excel Vlookup but facing
    many challenges.

I have 3 excel master table - Vendor Master, Forwarder Master & Customer Master.

My main excel file is the shipping detail and I need to extract data from the 3 excel master table
    - Vendor Master, Forwarder Master & Customer Master.

I try to create relationship between the 4 table but it dont work.

Is this consider one to many relationship ?

Sorry I am not familiar with database and powerpivot.

Hope someone can give me advise how to create relationship in powerpivot for this 4 data.

In the past, I just need to use Vlookup in shipping detail but i cant do it in powerpivot

    Thanks

    regards
    Ken

    Re: PowerPivot Relationship Problem

1st. update your profile about excel version (Ex2007 doesn't support PowerPivot)

2nd. Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

    Re: PowerPivot Relationship Problem

Pictures are useless. Honestly, no one wants to re-type your data to try and solve your issue. Additionally, we would only be guessing at how your data was structured, ie. formulas, formatting, etc. Additionally, due to how some browsers behave, many of our members cannot see uploaded pictures/images. Please do not take this route.
Please attach a sample file that represents what you have. The structure of your attachment should be the same structure as your actual data. Any proprietary information should be changed.
Include in the attachment any code you're currently using (whether it works or not) and an After of what you wish the output to be.

To attach an Excel file to your post,
    • click Go Advanced,
    • scroll down until you see Manage Attachments,
    • click that and select Browse,
    • select your file and click Open,
    • click Upload and you will see your attachment below Upload Files from a website
    • click Close this window,
    • click Submit reply

After that you should see attachment in your post
