get selected sum of data

i have created a pivot table. but i want a menu bar where i can select quality design and colour that should show up all the details like bedsheet of all sizes and bedsheet pillow cushion and booster. but excluded rolls given on processing(sheet stock column e).

for example if i selected feather jaipuri kora. its total meter is 76 and bedsheet of size 90*100, 25 and pillow 50. rest of zero.

so please make that and please explain how to do.

    thanks in advance.

Re: get selected sum of data

Will you please attach a sample Excel workbook? We are not able to work with or manipulate a picture of one and nobody wants to have to recreate your data from scratch.

    1. Make sure that your sample data are REPRESENTATIVE of your real data. The use of unrepresentative data is very frustrating and can lead to long delays in reaching a solution.

    2. Make sure that your desired results are also shown (mock up the results manually).

    3. Make sure that all confidential data is removed or replaced with dummy data first (e.g. names, addresses, E-mails, etc.).

    4. Try to avoid using merged cells as they cause lots of problems.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

Please pay particular attention to point 2 (above): without an idea of your intended outcomes, it is often very difficult to offer appropriate advice.

please check the formula in dashboard sheet (J5:R28). this should show up the all total value of the particulars excluding rolls given on procesiing (STOCK SHEET, COLUMN E).

Re: get selected sum of data

I dont see how you get 48? Your sumifs is summing Stock U:U based on ARC and 1 - there is only 1 row that matches those criteria, and that is row 152, and U152 contains 40?
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

I agree with Ali. If you have a problem with a member, discuss it with that member (in PM) or report it to a mod, if you have a problem with mod, discuss it with them or report it to an admin. I have removed your negative rep for Ali.

I would also like a reply to my question regarding your assumption (in your duplicate thread) that the answer should be 48?
