Subtracting one sum of counts from another sum of counts in a pivot table

    Hi
    very much would appreciate assistance.
i have a pivot table with the sum of the count of product LL under the row being the outcome of WIN and the sum of the count of product LL under the under the row which is outcome of LOSS.
i have attached what i mean here

i am trying to create a new field column that creates the calculation of A. the count of LL of WINS which is 7 subtraced by B. the count of LL of LOSS which is 1 to = a new "result" filed that should obviously show 6

unfortunately no success with this despite much searching through the web over a few days , can anyone help with this - it would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks

Hi, Please check the attached file and let me know if this works for you.
Sheet 1 is the copy of your original post
Sheet 2 is the helper table to format data
Sheet 3 is the value pasted from pivot on sheet 3
Sheet 4 is the final output that has a calculated field

    Hope this helps!

    Best Regards/VKS

    Thanks v much VKS.
i was wondering if there was a method that when you updated your data source then the final output - sheet 4 would be updated as well ( without the need of doing any cut and paste of values ), i have however seemed to have stumbled on the answer by seeing the tab of insert a calculated ITEM rather than the calculated FIELD that wasn't working. so in short you've been very helpful many thanks
