Chart to represent SQL Table Join

Here's the back ground - I'm going to be training someone on how to use an HRIS query system. That involves tables and join statements. I want to demonstrate the difference between join statement through excel. I'm not sure that this can be done in excel but I want to find out.

Anyway, I've created a test spreadsheet. My thoughts are I can do this through various lookups. What I was wondering is, is it possible to either have a chart or a picture where I select on the picture and it brings up the various columns.

So, I select the 'inner' circle and it shows me the employees on the Job Data tab who are also on the Sensitive data tab (and the appropriate columns). I select the 'left' circle and it shows me only the employees on both tabs and all the columns.

An example of the circles below.

    Is this at all possible??

Since you have Excel 2010. I'd recommend adding PowerQuery Add-in.

Contrary to System Requirements, Office 2010 can have PQ added, regardless of SKU (you may not have full list of connectors).

This will give joins (Merge operation) based on multiple key columns.

Left Outer, Inner, Full Outer, Anti join etc.

It's not listed, but you can also perform Cartesian Join.
In table 1, add custom column and = table 2. This will replicate every row of table 2 for each row of table 1.

As for the image... You'd need to use VBA to construct something like that.
