Interactive Data Labels - In Graph & Automated

    Hi,

I was working on a line graph with alot of data points - first time around I created alot of text boxs.

    1. The data in row 33 and 45 should be the "total changes between period" - for example +25 should be in this case +13 and on the bottom +5 should be nothing

    2. I wanted to add at the bottom custum data listing of what makes up the changes - for example the +5 would have under the line cells K26:K32 and M26:M32 the bottom should be nothing since no change. The Only thing is if its 0 i dont want it to show, I only want to show changes

    Is this possible?

The graph on the right (a picture) is old data but 100 percent same concept, I used this exact sheet when I was making the text boxes one by one!!

    Thank you,

    Jeffrey

Not sure exactly what parts you will have difficulty with, or exactly how you want to approach this. I would expect to add one or more additional data series (possibly formatted with invisible line and marker), then attach the appropriate data labels (values from cells) to those data series. It might be preferable to add those data series as XY scatter chart type (effectively creating a line + scatter combination chart), so that it will be easier to position the extra data series between the line chart categories. You would need to use concatenate functions/operations in order to combine all of the desired text into cells for the data labels.

I haven't spent any time with the specifics in your sample file. Are you familiar with adding data series to a chart? Familiar with combination charts (line + scatter, specifically)? Are you familiar with the different data label options?
