Good Morning,
I was given the following data set (example). I was tasked with plotting the data and I'm struggling to come up with a simple solution to plot everything. I can think of a hard way to do it but if possible I would like to avoid that.
What the data represents is a rating of condition over a series of locations. For each location we were given multiple years of ratings.
Since each data point represents (x (year), y (rating)) when I try to plot the data, all I can get excel to do is plot each section mashed together. What I would like to do is to plot the data so that each section is plotted sequentially (e.g section 10 (years 2000 - 2020), section 20 (2000 - 2020), etc.) on a wide chart. This way we can visually compare the condition of each section in one chart instead of creating 20+ individual charts to have to go back and forth between.
My first thought was to change the years for the subsequent sections so that for the next section excel would plot 2021 - 2041, but this would start to get clunky due to the data set size and it would make the chart difficult to follow along with.
Any insight you could provide would be most helpful.
Thanks in advance
