    Comparison of data in a graph

    Hello everyone, wondering if could get some help please.... I am so frustrated!

    I am trying to do some kind of cluster/comparison chart for the two tables on my attachment, they are basically showing

    * Number of items ordered
    * By the plant name
    * by the number of days lead time given

    I can pretty much do the first table okay, but for the life of me I don't get how to compare it to my second data table

    Any ideas / suggestions how to make it a clear table of info?
    Thanks James

    A lot depends on what information you are trying to draw out. Remember we aren't as familiar with your business as you are since you live with the data on a daily basis, we don't. And I for one don't really understand your terminology - like "PS STO addn by cell same parts" and how it relates to the first set of data.

    If you're wanting to express the difference in values, or a % difference or indeed any direct comparison showing a relative difference rather than plotting both sets of data then create a 3rd set of data which deducts one set from the other, or expresses one as a % of the other.

    Your profile also mentions Excel 2007. That's rather old now, is that the latest you have since the latest versions of Excel have more charts which may help when we understand what you want to see.

    It would be better if you could collect the part data by actual days instead of day buckets. That said, here are a few approaches you can use to compare the data as is. As I see it, there are two options, compare individual parts or compare the two tables.
    If you look at the Casing, you can see that there is no correlation from before and after.

    Comparing the individual parts gives a better view, say when the data is normal and when it is not. Here you can see that the compressor data is correlated in both cases, and the variation is narrower in the second set.
