If your dates are on the horizontal axis what should the vertical axis be displaying?
Dates are not on the horizontal (X-Axis).
I want to put them onto the X-Axis.
How can I do this?
I know, but my question was what should be on the vertical axis
Excel is guessing that because it only has 1 set of data you want that on the vertical axis, and it will automatically generate a sequential set of x axis categories.
In order to get dates on the horizontal axis you need to tell excel what you use for the vertical axis
I was trying to create a todolist.
These are dates.
There will be numerous assignments on the second column.
How can I do this?
Sounds like a gantt chart, which is a bar rather than line chart
Real tasks will be look like a mess because they consist of more than 1 sentences.
That's why I wanted tasks don't appear there.
I want the chart present how many tasks are done in a period of time.
For example how many tasks are done in first quarter. And months are shown below. And on the left axis completed tasks numbers.

The use a pivot chart/table to count number of projects on or within a date.
Yes, I did this.
1) How can I move two Pivot Chart onto the same sheet?
2) I had to put numbers to months as prefix to order them on the chart.
Is there a method to order them without putting prefixes?
Use the Date field.
For slicer use the Date slicer
1) There is no entry on the data for the month April. It's skipped on the Pivot Chart.
Can I show it as 0?
2) Time Slicers shows the months Turkish although Pivot Chart shows it as English. How can I fix it?
3) Can I split months into 4 areas referring weeks while months are still appear?
Use Field settings > Layout and Print > Show items with no data.
Try formatting the field with custom date format.
If you use the Date field you can group by month and exclude the lower and upper bands that get automatically added.
The Pivot Chart on the Sheet 5 shows 1 for sales for May.
Although On the sheet 4 Pivot Chart shows 5.
Pivot table onthe sheet 5 also shows 5.
???
You need to connect the empty cells using the Select Data > Hidden & Empty cells.
You could also add data markers in order to see those points between the gaps.
One is showing the Months, the other is showing Week within months.
Thank you very much for the answers Andy Pope.
