Conditional formatting entire rows of pivot table based on column value

Hi,

I am trying to colour code rows based on the value in cell A. So if value is A then blue, if B then yellow, etc.. Please see the attached spreadsheet sample. I tried putting a formula without any success. Do I have repeat the values in each empty cell of pivot table? Please help how I can achieve this.

I dont think you can achieve this with formula.
