    Slicer Options Excel

    Hi All,

I am looking to learn how to use Slicers for my large sets of data.

Can I shift slicer from the pivot data tab to another sheet, where I would only have some summarized tabs.

I understand once a data option has been selected in the slicer it needs to be deselected before you can chose another option. Is there a work around on if I select a new filter option within the slicer, that it would automatically deselect the first option.

What is the best place where I could read up on how to use slicers effectively.

I am trying to add slicers to make an infographic sheet or data tab. Are there any articles that I can read which would help me understand them better.

I searched couple of videos but may be couldnt find them helpful.

Apologies if it is a very basic question.

I found a thread on this forum n this issue but could not find how the user solved the issue. They mentioned they googled a lot of places and used some inputs from someone on this forum.

I am hoping my post makes sense. Apologies for any confusion.

    THank you

Yes, you can have the slicer on a sheet other than the one for the table or pivot table it is controlling.

There may be a way of doing this by using a "dummy" pivot table, but without seeing the data, I can't say for sure. at any rate, this technique would require some VB Coding.
One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.
