Question Navigate to source data CELL

I'm using pivot tables to navigate TEXTUAL data. There's no calculation going on.

When I navigate the pivot table, I often find some data I need to update. I then have to switch to the raw data tab and manually search to find where that text cell came from. This breaks my flow and slows me down.

How can I quickly navigate to the source data, the exact CELL that is generating this data?

I understand that this is not a question that normally makes sense because pivot tables are designed for number data as well, but is there a way? For example, a macro that copies the cell text and then searches that in another tab. I could set that to a hotkey.

Just a quick idea - whenever I am doing something like that I add a column to the base data, a formula of =ROW() so that I can drill to that field and see where my source cell is. Is that any help?

Re: Navigate to source data CELL

    Thanks!
I made a little macro so that I can just click the cell and navigate to it without scrolling. However, I don't really know how to contain macro risk, so maybe it's not worth it? Anyway, I'll share it here in case it's useful for someone:

    To customise to your situation:

Edit "2023 data" with the target sheet to navigate to.
Edit "column j" to a column with the =row() numbers.

However, flash-fill can't find a pattern for that hyperlink?:

Change the 6/7/8 part to be something calculated using ROW() function.
