Pivot Chart not giving the proper results

I have a movie data set and a I have Revenue and budget for all the movie categories, I created a pivot chart in excel with Average movie revenue and Average Movie budget for different categories like Action, comedy etc, Now I want to calculate the Average profit by subtracting the Average revenue from Average Budget But When I do so by creating a calculated field I am getting weird kind of results please if some one can help ????

I am also attaching a screenshot for your consideration.

    Welcome to the forum.

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook (yellow banner: HOW TO ATTACH YOUR SAMPLE WORKBOOK). Screenshots are of little practical use as we cannot manipulate them.

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. It also has expected results mocked up, worked examples where required, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.

You can't do that with a calculated field because it always sums any underlying fields before doing anything else. You will need to load the data into the data model and then use power pivot to create measures for the averages and the difference between them.
