I have an Excel spreadsheet with data spread over 6 months with the following fields:
Incident no., Date Submitted, SLA, Requester, Assignee, Site, Category, Summary, and a few more.
I created pivot tables and charts for these, then proceeded to create slicers for each field and a timeline based on the Date Submitted.
All the slicers are set to Hide Items with no data, and they are all linked in Report Connections. The timeline is also linked to all the pivots in the Report Connections tab. All the pivots are set to Refresh data when opening the file.
My first problem is that when I select a date or a date range on the timeline, the charts update with the correct numbers, but the slicers do not change to reflect the same. Specifically the Incident No. slicer, shows all the numbers across the entire 6 months.
The second problem is, that when I select a value in one of the slicers, the linked slicers change to reflect the corresponding data except for the Incident No. slicer. For instance, if I select Georgetown in the Site slicer, the SLA, Requester, Assignee, etc. slicers, and the charts change to reflect the corresponding data but the Incident no. slicer do not show the associated incidents.
As an example: The number of incidents in January for Georgetown in this case is 8, but the Incident no. slicer does not reflect that, no matter what I try.
My objective is to build a dashboard with Slicers and charts so that if you drill down and select a date or date range, it only shows the incidents in that date range in the "Incident No." slicer.
Can Someone help, please?
