    Talking CountIF in Pivot table only data NO Blanks

    Good morning Team,

    Need your help on how to calculate the only with the pivot table the amount of locations occupied, with material.

    As you can see once we do create the Pivot table, we need to coung on top row 2, How many bins have material or are accuppied. we will like to have this number direct from the Pivot instead of count if on the top. is this possible?

    See attach our current way on calculating this information

    Appreciate your support on this

    thank you
    Regards

    Re: CountIF in Pivot table only data NO Blanks

    Just a quick question to make sure that I understood the layout correctly.
    B2 = 75 ... isn't it supposed to be the same value as B6203 = 85?
    I mean does the formula in B2 is not updated yet? or it is not related at all?
    If you could include any of the formulas you used in B2:Z2 that would help.

    Re: CountIF in Pivot table only data NO Blanks

    Good morning

    my apologies, All the information attach comes from a data sheets this is the result of the Pivot Table. The pivot is summarizing the bin location to see ALL the ones that contains inventory, the blank ones are empty. the purpose on this is know how many bins are occupied. In row 2 Im counting only the ones with data to have the result. So my question is if just by creating a Pivot tabla can I get only the count of the of the Bins that are accupied with out doing it this way?

    Regards

    Click any place in the pivot table itself > go up to the Pivot Table Analyze Ribbon > Show Group > click on Field List > Scroll down to Values Filed > click all items one by one > Value Field Settings > Summarize Values By tab > choose Count from the list.

    But I've already done it for you in the attached file.
