Excel-Chart data automatically changes

Hello, currently i am facing a problem.

I have an excel-sheet that contains multiple charts and sheets with data.
The data is loaded via a csv-import.

Now i have this strange issue:

Lets say one line of my graph is done by selecting a range from H2 to H999 and B2 to B999.
Now i update the data and that range automatically changes to lets say H2 to 994 and B2 to B994.
This ain't a big problem, but sometimes it occurs that it changes to H8....and leaves out important data for the graph.

How can i stop this from happening? Ive already spent hours searching with google but did not find an answer

We don't know exactly how you update data (csv-import). Probably this process causes your problem. Simple proposition would be to import new data to separate sheet (or even columns in the same worksheet, and once imported - copy to the range used for graph data.

As a general concept. As you are using Microsoft 365 a good idea could be to use Power Query for csv-import. Once it is imported that way, when you edit source and refresh your query, a graph which is based on query result shall adjust to a new content of a whole query output (not missing first or last lines even if a total number of data lines changes).
