Plotting a start and end date on a bar chart

    Dear All,

I would be most appreciative if someone would assist me in the following:-

I use Excel 2003 and am trying to use a bar chart to display the number of drug changes for one of my patients over the last 13 years, as she is going into renal failure. What I need is to show the drug and dose on the Y axis, and bars beside those drugs to show when they started and when they stopped.

    So, e.g.

    Chlorpromazine 10mg --------
    Chlorpromazine 25mg -------------------------
    Aspirin 75mg ---------------------------------------
    Simvastatin 40mg ----------------
    1/1/9 3/2/9 6/5/9 8/6/9 now (23/6/9)

This will hopefully let me see if there was a culprit drug combination.

    Yours sincerely,

    Dr. D

P.S. I just looked at the preview for my post...the lines and drugs have formatted differently with dates on the X axis...basically, the line for Chlorpromazine 10mg starts on 3/2/9 and ends on 6/5/9, where the dose is increased to 25mg until the present. The other drugs have random start and stop dates (I just randomised the dates and drugs so it's anonymous).
