I inadvertently deleted a horizontal axis in a chart and now I find myself at a loss to put it back in without making a new chart. I was playing with formatting the axis and deleted it by mistake, now I cant see where to reinsert it.
Any ideas?

In Excel 2007 and 2010, click on the chart and then go to the layout ribbon and click on the axis button
