PivotChart with sub categories plotted on separate Y-axis

    Hi All,

I am learning how to plot on secondary axes and the information on this forum has been very helpful. I searched and was not able to find an example similar to what I'm trying to do. I have a chart based off a pivot table where I have two category values (LOE and #). These values group nicely on the chart but the numbers are very different. I'd like to have LOE on the primary and # on the secondary axis. Is there some way for me to do this?

Have you tried selecting one of the series and formatting it to the secondary axis?

Thanks. I have tried. The problem is that it sends both the LOE and # values to the secondary axis. It doesn't see them as separate series.

even if you could move a series to the secondary axis correctly you would then hit the issue of columns overlapping.

Without seeing you data structure and pivot layout it is difficult to know what really is possible for you.

Makes sense. Attached is my workbook. I also tried creating a table off the pivot table so that I could add a new series without success.

I'm trying to show the two different series as sub categories on the X-Axis which works perfectly as shown (using the pivot table). The only thing missing is a secondary access to make the chart more meaningful.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

By changing the table layout you can get the column/line combination chart

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback but that doesn't really show the same as what I was going for. The double bar chart is perfect if I could just get a secondary axis. Unfortunately, I think I'll have to create two charts and combine them.
