    Graph Dependent on Changing Variables

I have an excel sheet that is made up of data that changes year to year. One of my graphs spans a period of 4 years and changes based on the current Grad year to four years later [2014-2017]. The other begins from a set year and includes data up to the current Grad year [2012-2017]. I would like these graphs to change automatically when data is inputted.

Is this possible? This is what I desire: in theory, when I input new data in the data tab next fall, the graphs will automatically change based on the new inputs. New data ranges would include: [2015-2018] and [2012-1018].

If you have further questions after looking over the excel file, let me know. Thanks for any help you have for me!

I am not exactly sure what the specific thing is that will you will want to roll over to 2015, so I created a named range/cell and made it orange so you can change that how you see fit.

Re: Graph Dependent on Changing Variables

Chart 1 appears to work out, but Chart two is basically the same whereas it needs to add each year to the range as it happens. For this year 2012 to 2017. For next year 2012 to 2018. Would it be easier to combine the two into a bar graph and make one a different color than the other? I read up on the dynamic charts briefly last night. I'll continue to read up on it. Thanks for your help so far.

What I gave you will work, just change whatever parameter you need.

I cant really follow what you are saying as it is not very clear, so if you want help we always suggest posting a sample data set, and then a sample worksheet showing what you WANT, but with flat data, then we can show you how to make it work. I hope that makes sense.

For example, you want to modify something for chart 2, WHAT specifically needs to be done?

Ahh, I am not exactly sure how to handle the growing of the data unless you want to include it in a data table, that would be dynamic as the data grows. then you can simply move the data to the table when the time comes.
