    Multiple vlokup

    Hi
I am trying to create a multiple vlookup but with no success.
Here is what I do have:
One sheet named "team" where I have a table:
    Team Name
    Team1 adam
    Team1 ecole
    Team1 nicole
    Team2 gerry
    Team2 nicol
    Team2 diana
    Team3 stefan
    Team3 cler
    Team3 Clara
    Team3 Daniel
    Team4 dana
    Team4 deri
    Team4 jerry
    Team4 nika
    Team4 pika

on the other sheet named Partecipants I want to have a result like:

    Team Name
    Team1 adam ecole nicole n/a n/a
    Team2 gerry nicol diana n/a n/a
    Team3 stefan cler Clara n/a n/a
    Team5 Cleri Denis n/a n/a n/a
Team4 dana deri jerry pika Nika

How can I do that with a vlookup? Or any other way?

I know it must be easy. but my brain is having a black out...
    any ideas?

    Re: Multiple vlokup

Hi I tried both version but without success. As to make is simple here is my file that I want to use.

Can you have a look and make it possible to apply your ideas? The problem I found on the formula is that it does not properly work if data is on different sheets. I want the Team sheet data to be on the main sheet as seen on the sample file.
Hoe can I do that sing a formula, where the teams will always have different number of players up to 80 for ex.
Do not ask for the logic behind why, I also do not know, but the result should be on the main sheet, showing for each team their respective players on a horizontal level. I tried to do that with a pivot table, but is quite manual, I thought that a clever formula could do the job for me.
    any ideas

    Regards

And if you want the n/a instead of blank for empty spots just switch out the last "" in the formula with "n/a"
