    Formula for a date tracker

    Hello,

I am new to this forum, however, I hope someone might be able to help me out.

I am trying to track equipment that is being checked out of rental store.

I have a pick up and a return date and based on those dates I want to have a color fill under a list of dates by month to see what equipment overlaps.

I am not sure how to make this happen since I do not work in Excel often.

Any help would be appreciated, I have added screen shots of my setup.

    Thank you,
    Joe

You can do this with Conditional Formatting.

See attached. Change the dates and see how the bars move accordingly.

If you want to see how this is done, look at the formula in Conditional Formatting.
