vlookup: returns a duplicate of the value in the cell above instead of NA

So I'm running a vlookup, & if a value isn't found in the list to match my lookup value, instead of NA I get a duplicate of the cell above.
I've done this plenty of times before, I'm not sure whether something has changed on my settings, or what's going on.

My company did update my hardware & OS, this is actually my first time doing vlookup in Excel 2010.
    Thanks!

have you set the last argument to false? vlookup(a1,a1:c100,3,false)
