Counting specific data and extracting that data by rearranging by assigning numbering

Dear Sir,

Currently,I have a problem as I am doing manual entry,I would like to automate it by formula.In the enclosed workbook in Sheet1 my data is in Column A and I have to manually type in column C.It goes the following way there is M1289 four times in Column A and in Column C,I have to manually write it as M1289-1,M1289-2,M1289-3,M1289-4.Similarly there is M1290 one time only,hence I have to manually write M1290-1.Likewise other data.

I will be very much thankful in this regard.
