    Deleting duplicated rows

    Hello.

I have an excel sheet with many duplicated rows.
I've attached a small segment of those. Can anyone tell me how do I remove the duplicated lines (And leave only 1 of those lines in the sheet)?

Under the DATA tab is a feature REMOVE DUPLICATES should let you do what you want easily once you get familiar with it. Check it out.

    Re: Deleting duplicated rows

Hey, unfortunately the simple "remove duplicate lines" isn't helpful to me, because there is 1 or more column in the line that is different between the rows.
So basically I want to remove the "almost entirely duplicated" rows, and leave only one of tthem full.

Select column A. Press Ctrl and +. This will insert a new column A. Copy this formula and paste into A1. It is an array formula committed with Ctrl + Shift + Enter. Copy down as far as you have data.

Select row 1. Press Ctrl and +. This will insert a new row 1. With a cell in row 1 selected apply Filters. Over column A select only those values greater than one. Select all of those rows and delete them. Remove the Filters, and the duplicates are gone.
    Formula: copy to clipboard

Try it on your sample file.

Hope this does what you want.

    Re: Deleting duplicated rows

    I have some questions:
    1. When I copy the formula all the way down in 1 column it delets my regular 1 column. Should I move the entire 1 column left so there is room for the formula on column 1?

    2. What is "apply Filters"?

Please be sure you have downloaded the file I attached in the first post so you understand exactly what is my problem...
    Thanks!

    Yes.
In addition you'll want to move the everything down one row to accommodate the Filters.

    2. What is "apply Filters"?
Select a cell in the row immediately above your data. I do not have access to my Excel 2007, right now, so the menu's might not agree with what follows. Click 'Data' on the ribbon menu. You'll see a funnel shaped icon. Click it. The rest should be intuitive. If you are going to use Excel much Filtering is a very useful topic to research and learn to use.

    Hope this helped.
