    Condition Formatting: when one cell had data entered, ignore another

    I've been trying to create a spreadsheet that tracks our companies submissions to the local municipality to see how long they have been in the system,
    Job List test.xlsx

    I've created columns for 'Date Submitted', 'Date Resubmitted' and 'Date Approved' and have also created conditional formatting rules (using formulas) to warn (by colouring cells) when a submission is getting too old (over 2 and 3 weeks),
    I've ordered the formatting to look at 'Approved'>'Resubmitted' (3>2 weeks)>'Submitted' (3>2 weeks) and have added examples in the spreadsheet above to showcase some different outcomes.

    However a problem arises when a job was submitted over 2 weeks ago and resubmitted less then 2 weeks ago,
    because the 'Resubmitted' cell comes up with a logic statement of false, it moves onto the next condition which is in the 'Submitted' column which comes up true.
    I've put this scenario in row 7.

    I'm really not sure where to begin to tackle this issue,
    I think that I should create a new condition to fill the cell with nothing but I really don't know how to approach that either.

    Hopefully someone can help!

    Thanks,
    Faraz

    You can use a MIN or MAX statement to determine the newest or oldest date for the conditional format
    MAX(Dates)<Today()-7 or something?
    You should hit F5, because chances are I've edited this post at least 5 times.
