Count of pupils meeting 'less than' criteria...
I have a spreadsheet of nursery pupils (example attached) which tracks progress. The data is broken down into learning areas and each area is assessed 1-5. There is also a column which indicates how many sessions per week the pupils are attending.
I would like to count the number of pupils at each level 1-5 who have attended fewer than 5 sessions per week. I'm guessing it will be the COUNTIF function?
Could someone please advise and give an example of the formula to use.

Can you show us an example of what your required outcome looks like? I'm not clear what criteria you want to use to achieve your count...

It's only due to the fab advice I received on here for a previous query that I was able to work it out!
=COUNTIFS('Nursery Data'!I$4:I$85, "<5", 'Nursery Data'!S$4:S$85, "1")
